GRIDRA

About GRIDRA

A professional home for the power systems community.

GRIDRA is an engineering platform and community built around one belief: the people who keep the world's power flowing deserve a shared space to learn from each other.

Why we started

Good knowledge is out there. It's just scattered.

Power systems engineering sits at the center of the energy transition — renewables, smart grids, high voltage technology, AI-driven analytics. The field is moving fast.

Plenty of great work already happens inside companies, universities, conferences and research groups. But it's spread across many different places, and rarely easy to find or connect to from the outside.

GRIDRA exists to make that knowledge easier to find and connect to — a shared space where people working on power systems can learn from each other.

Focus areas

What we focus on.

Power Systems

Generation, transmission and distribution fundamentals.

Smart Grids

Digitalization, automation and intelligent grid control.

High Voltage Engineering

Insulation, protection and high voltage equipment.

Renewable Energy

Integrating wind, solar and storage into the grid.

Grid Stability

Stability, resilience and power quality challenges.

AI & Digitalization

Data-driven and AI-assisted grid analysis.

How we work

The principles behind GRIDRA.

01

Technical first

Every discussion, article and resource is grounded in real engineering — no hype, no fluff.

02

Open by default

Knowledge should move freely between companies, universities and countries.

03

Built for the next generation

Students and early-career engineers get real support, not an afterthought.

04

Global from day one

The energy transition is a global challenge — the community should be too.
